Just like his dad, Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is destined for big things in the NFL.
Heading into the 2022 college football season, Porter was among the top corner prospects in the 2023 NFL draft class. His performance in Thursday night’s epic 35-31 road win over Purdue proved he’s taking the next step in his development.
Porter forced six incompletions against the Boilermakers, showing off the shutdown capabilities he’ll bring to the next level.
Already projected by many as a potential first-round pick in next year’s draft, Porter will be angling for the CB1 spot in most rankings if he keeps playing at such a high level this season.
