Penn State QB Drew Allar Didn’t Hold Back When Discussing His Poor Game vs. Ohio State

Drew Allar, quarterback of No. 7 Penn State, is a native of Medina, Ohio—and presumably entered Saturday’s showdown against No. 3 Ohio State eager to show out in front of his home state.

However, the Buckeyes had other ideas. Allar had a miserable afternoon in an old-fashioned Big Ten slugfest, completing just 18 of his 42 passes for 191 yards and a touchdown.

Meeting reporters after the Nittany Lions' seventh consecutive loss to Ohio State, Allar didn't mince words about his performance.

“[I] sucked,” an emotional Allar said.

When pressed for his reasoning, he explained, “Because I did.”

Penn State was held to just 240 yards, most of which came on one final push late in the fourth quarter that created the final margin of 20–12.

“It sucks to lose like this, especially on the road,” Allar said. “It was a lot of emotions in the locker room, and for good reason. Nobody wants to feel this way. We put countless hours of hard work in … we have to really be critical of this film and just really learn from it and never let this happen again.”

The Nittany Lions will look to rebound against Indiana on Oct. 28.
