Congratulations to Penei Sewell on the birth of his new son! Sewell and his girlfriend welcomed their baby to the world.
Sewell had missed the first two practice sessions of the Week 9 prep for the Lions’ game Sunday against Green Bay. The right tackle was excused from the practices and listed on the injury report as “personal”.
The Sewells join the Lions’ baby boom over the last few weeks. Safety Tracy Walker and his wife welcomed a daughter during the bye week, and left tackle Taylor Decker and his wife also had a baby girl in late October.
No word on if Sewell will be at Friday’s practice, but he is expected to play vs. Green Bay on Sunday.
