Pedestrian struck by campervan in Forth Valley hit-and-run on Easter Sunday

A pedestrian was struck by a campervan on Easter Sunday in a hit-and-run on a rural road in Forth Valley.

Emergency services were called to a section of the A84 towards Doune after he was struck by a white Ford vehicle which failed to stop.

The extent of his injuries are not known at this time.

Cops have started an investigation and are asking anyone who witnessed the accident, or who has dash cam footage, to contact them on 101.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information following a road traffic collision which happened during Sunday, 17th April, 2022 on the A84 heading towards Doune.

"A white Ford campervan has collided with a male pedestrian and has failed to stop/report the incident.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and if you have any information/dash cam footage that could assist, please contact us on 101 quoting incident no.1681 of 17th April, 2022."
