A 37-year-old man has died after being hit by a car on Boxing Day. Gwent Police said it is appealing for witnesses following the collision on the A469 between Llanbradach and Ystrad Mynach around 8.30pm.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed that a 33-year-old man from the Herefordshire area has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The man remains in police custody at this time.
Gwent Police is urging any motorists who have dashcam footage of the A469 between 7.30pm and 9pm to contact them immediately.
