Pecker testified that he informed then-National Enquirer editor-in-chief Dylan Howard that he wanted no part in the story involving the adult film star.
Pecker explained that when he first learned about Daniels' allegations of an affair with Donald Trump, he immediately contacted Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, to avoid any potential backlash. Pecker stated that he reached out to Cohen because he believed that if Cohen heard about the story from someone else, he would react strongly.
