During the recent court proceedings, David Pecker, the former CEO of American Media Inc., testified about a conversation he had via the encrypted messaging app Signal with former National Enquirer editor-in-chief Dylan Howard and Michael Cohen. Pecker revealed that during the call, Cohen once again urged him to purchase a story involving a certain individual named Daniel.
Pecker adamantly stated his refusal, expressing his reluctance to be involved in the matter from the outset. He made it clear that he was not willing to pay for the story, firmly stating, 'I am not paying for this story. I didn’t want to be involved in this from the beginning. I’m not doing it.'
Furthermore, Pecker disclosed that the call took place at Cohen's behest on the Signal app. He mentioned that Cohen consistently requested the use of the Signal app for their conversations, indicating a preference for the encrypted platform.
