Pecker mentioned that he would keep Cohen updated on the progress as he received information from former National Enquirer editor Dylan Howard.
Pecker recalled a conversation with Cohen where they discussed the financial aspect of the deal. Cohen allegedly suggested that Pecker should be the one to cover the costs, to which Pecker questioned the reasoning behind it. Pecker expressed his surprise, mentioning that he had already paid $30,000 for a previous story and was now being asked to pay $150,000 for the Karen story.
