KP and Movember have teamed up for the fourth year to raise awareness of testicular cancer. Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young men and in most cases, if caught early, it is highly curable.
This April, to coincide with Testicular Cancer Awareness Month, KP’s traditional Original Salted Peanuts 250g pack has had a makeover to help raise awareness, and 10p from every pack will be donated to Movember. Available in all supermarkets, the packs will encourage everyone to start a conversation that could save a life.
Jenny Blanco Barcia, Marking Manager at KP, said: “Testicular cancer is a highly treatable cancer and can often be effectively cured, if diagnosed and treated early. This Testicular Cancer Awareness month we want to raise awareness of the importance of self-examination and are hoping that our new packs will encourage people with testicles to take action and check their nuts regularly. We’re delighted to be continuing to partner with Movember and helping to spread this important message whilst also raising money for this important cause.”
Movember suggests giving your testicles a feel regularly while in the bath or the shower, it takes just minutes to do. Roll one testicle between thumb and fingers to get to know what’s normal and repeat with the other one. If you notice a change in size or shape, a lump that wasn’t there before, or if they become painful to touch, see a doctor.
