The final series Peaky Blinders is fast approaching and as fans gear up to see Thomas Shelby and his clan in action again, there are rumours that the hard-man may be killed off.
The hit BBC drama series might be coming to an end after a decade, but fans are convinced it won't be the last we see of Irish actor Cillian Murphy in a similar role.
Cillian, who has made a global name for himself while playing Thomas Shelby, is tipped to become the next James Bond after Daniel Craig hung up his boots last year.
Peaky Blinders fans are now convinced that the iconic character might finally be killed off - despite talks of a movie after the sixth series concludes.
Also predicting what might happen to Shelby are the bookmakers - and Tommy has been tipped to see his final few days in the last episode of Peaky Blinders.
Paddy Power have priced up Cillian Murphy's character as low as 5/2 to be killed off.
The Irishman is priced at 25/1 to become the next James Bond.
It comes after Cillian commented on the iconic aesthetic of character Tommy ahead of the new series of the show and discussed his 'crazy' fans.
While Tommy’s short back and sides undercut exploded in popularity since the show hit screens in 2013, the Irish actor says he’s not a fan of the haircut.
The actor told Woman and Home: “People ask for a Peaky cut. It's crazy that people like it - it hasn't grown on me.”
The actor has even taken a blunt swipe at the 'hipsters and fashionistas' obsessed with the haircut in the past, previously adding that the close shave gets him hassle on the street.
"It’s when you get the haircut that people start shouting at you,” he said. “When I don’t have the haircut I can get the bus quite unmolested.”
Cillian also previously revealed that he visited Birmingham boozers to record the drinkers so he could perfect his character’s accent.
The Irishman revealed he joined the show’s Brummie creator, Steven Knight, at the real-life local that provides the setting for many of his memorable scenes just so he could nail the distinctive dialect.
He told Radio Times: “I hung out with Steve, and we went to the actual Garrison pub in Birmingham with his Brummie mates.
“And they’re singing Birmingham City songs and telling all sorts of stories, and I was recording on my iPhone, and then I took that home, and used it to try and track the accents, you know.
“And then I would call Steve and just leave voicemails on his phone in the accent and see how close I was to it.”
Peaky Blinders season six will hit screens on Sunday 27th February.
