Australia has reached a record Winter Olympics medal tally of six, surpassing the previous high point of the 2022 Olympics.
Since Steven Bradbury and his relay teammates won bronze in 1994, Australia has won medals at every Winter Olympics (including Bradbury’s famous individual gold in 2002), with a definite upward trajectory:
And while there are more medal-winning events in 2026 than there were in 1994 (due in no small part to a big increase in women’s participation in Olympic sports), Australia’s achievement is still significant.
