Former J&K chief minister and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti had a narrow escape on Thursday after her car met with an accident in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, leaving two people injured. National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah has sought an inquiry into the incident.
Ms. Mufti was travelling to Anantnag in south Kashmir to meet victims of a fire incident when the car was hit from the front and sustained damage. Ms. Mufti’s driver and Personal Security Officer (PSA) suffered injuries in the accident.
Describing it as “a terrible accident”, a PDP spokesman said Ms. Mufti had a providential escape.
