PCB upgrades Test captain Shan Masood's contract category

Shan Masood PCB Australia Pakistan Cricket New Delhi Test series

NEW DELHI: Shortly after his team left for a Test series in Australia, Pakistan's cricket board upgraded Test captain Shan Masood's contract on Thursday from 'D' to 'B' category.

Masood, 34, was appointed Test captain on November 15 and will hold the position until the end of the 2023-25 cycle of the ICC World Test Championship. Babar Azam resigned after Pakistan's disastrous 50-over World Cup match in India.
