Digital payments major Paytm on Monday reported a 28% year-on-year increase in operating revenue for the April-June quarter to Rs 2,448 crore, while continuing to improve profitability. Net profit rose to Rs 220 crore from Rs 123 crore a year earlier, driven by operating leverage and better monetisation across existing business lines.
Alongside its quarterly results, the Noida-based company said its board had rejected a proposal to issue bonus shares, choosing instead to prioritise long-term growth and profitability.
