Pay £0 for your broadband with mind-boggling offer that BT and Sky cannot match

Want to drop your broadband bill to just £0 for the next three months? This killer saving might sound too good to be true, but it's all thanks to a new deal from Three Mobile that offers new customers the chance to get free broadband for three months.

The blockbuster broadband offer means that UK households can get access to lightning-fast speeds without the need to pay anything for the start of the contract, including set-up costs and postage fees.

Three relies on 4G or 5G mobile data networks to bring superfast broadband speeds into your home. The next-generation 5G router offers speeds up to 1Gbps – significantly faster than most hardwired broadband offered by the likes of Sky and BT, which sits at roughly 70Mbps nationwide.

Although Three Mobile broadband is powered by the same mobile network as your phone, when everything is up and running, the router offers the same Wi-Fi connection as any other broadband provider.

Since the Three Mobile router is powered by a 5G SIM, there's no need for an engineer to visit. All you need to do is plug it in and you're ready to go. Simple as that.

Also with 5G speeds, you could be speeds of up to 150mbps depending on where you live - faster than some hardwired broadband speeds offered by major companies.

But what is the difference between hardwired broadband and mobile broadband? Here's what you need to know about mobile broadband.

What is 4G and 5G broadband and should you get it?

Home broadband is web access in your home and with a wireless router, you can use the broadband anywhere in the house. There are loads of home broadband packages available online from various providers, including BT and Sky, and they can often be part of a bundle with another service such as home phone or digital TV.

The maximum download speed of the broadband will depend on the provider, as some use more advanced technology than others.

Most of them are hardwired into your home by using a phone line or separate copper fibre line.

Mobile broadband uses a SIM for web access, usually in the form of a dongle or mobile router, and they can be faster than some home broadband services.

You need a strong network signal if you want fast speeds. There aren’t many providers that can truly offer broadband without a phone line, and mobile broadband is one of the few opportunities for you to get it.

Most of the time, you wont need an engineer to set them up and you can just plug it into your wall and you're ready to go. Mobile broadband is also a great deal more flexible when it comes to contracts as well as long-term contracts. You can also choose from rolling monthly mobile plans and pay-as-you-go agreements, just like with your standard mobile contract.

One of the downsides to mobile broadband is that you may find performance fluctuates depending on network traffic and weather conditions. This can be problematic if you rely on a minimum speed as performance could change from one day to the next.
