Paulo Dybala pictured with Paul Pogba as Man Utd 'make contact' over transfer

Paulo Dybala has been pictured training alongside Paul Pogba after being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Dybala left Juventus at the end of the season with his contract expiring. He is currently available on a free transfer and it was thought that he was set for a move to Serie A rivals Inter Milan but as of yet a deal has not been confirmed.

In the meantime, Pogba is also without a club having left Manchester United officially last week. Juventus are thought to be set to re-sign the French midfielder - having got the best out of him ahead of a then world record move to Manchester United in 2016 - but as is the case with Dybala, the midfielder’s switch has not yet been announced.

Intriguingly, the pair have been pictured together keeping fit during the off-season with negotiations still presumably ongoing regarding their summer switches.

Dybala took to his Instagram story with a photo of the pair in a Miami gym - Pogba sporting the pink training strip of MLS outfit Inter Miami - David Beckham ’s franchise.

Having been keeping fit, the pair also featured in an all-star game in the USA, with Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos and Cafu having all featured. It would be interesting to note whether Pogba has talked up a potential move to Old Trafford or not with Dybala considering that the latter has been strongly linked with a switch to Manchester United over recent days.

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils - as well as Arsenal - have ‘made contract’ with his representatives regarding a potential move to Old Trafford on a free transfer. There is also further competition for his services with AC Milan also thought to be in the race to sign him.

Previous frontrunners Inter Milan have already bolstered their attacking options ahead of the 2022/23 season with the signing of Romelu Lukaku - the Chelsea striker returning to the San Siro on a season-long loan.

Ahead of the Belgian’s return to the club, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirmed that both he and Dybala were his prime targets. Talking to Radio Rai, he said: "Lukaku and Dybala are our targets.

"We need to consider financial issues. We are in talks with these two players and we'll be happy if we sign them. If not, we'll consider different targets."

Dybala was initially with former club Juventus for seven years - playing 293 matches and scoring 115 goals. He won five Serie A titles during his time in Turin, as well as four Copa Italias.

In the meantime, Pogba lifted four Italian crowns during his previous spell with the Old Lady, whilst he could only add the League Cup and Europa League to his collection whilst he was at Old Trafford.
