Paul Scholes aims brutal two-word swipe at Man Utd ahead of Nottingham Forest

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has questioned the tactical decisions of manager Erik ten Hag after the Red Devils' 2-2 draw against Sevilla, ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest.

Thursday night's result for the Red Devils was compounded by injuries picked up by key players with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez injury doubts for this weekend's clash at the City Ground. Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw and Alejandro Garnacho are also set to miss Sunday's Premier League match.

Forest will be desperate to get a result against a wounded Man United team with Steve Cooper's side winless since beating Leeds in February. And they will have been boosted with a combination of United's injury worries and a short turnaround giving the Reds belief they can earn another famous result at home.

And after United threw away a two goal lead against Sevilla, Scholes branded the Reds Devils' performance after half time as a “complete disaster”.

He told BT Sport: “Manchester United were very quiet in the second half, didn’t really create anything, substitutes I don’t think helped the game - it definitely weakened the team. You can understand Martial with him being fragile but really sloppy in that second half.

"Two two, still - look, injuries and suspensions won’t be great for next week - but I felt we saw enough to say Sevilla aren’t a great team and United should still have enough, but I tell you what, going over there will be difficult.”

Scholes added: “The second half was a complete disaster, really. Malacia should have dealt with that first goal at the source and he didn’t, then from then on it was a really difficult night. Injuries, suspensions, then they get the second goal, it’s not a great second half.”
