Paul O’Grady’s daughter was left “in tears” after seeing a touching tribute to her dad at a Liverpool café.
Sharon Mousley visited Lucy In The Sky in the city centre last week. A colourful drawing on the outside of the café shows Paul as Lily Savage, his drag queen alter ego.
The legendary entertainer died earlier this year. Birkenhead-born Paul received Freedom of the Brough posthumously earlier this week, and a mural of the star in Wirral is also being painted.

Olivia Dolan, a 23 year-old from Norris Green who works at Lucy In The Sky, said Sharon was delighted at the “lovely” drawing of her dad. Olivia said: “She came over to the counter. She did look a bit teary eyed, she’d been a little bit upset but she was happy.”
Olivia added: “She was like, 'I’m sorry, I’m just taken aback, that’s my dad in the window.’ We couldn't really believe it. She was just over the moon, she said [the drawing was] absolutely gorgeous.”
Olivia herself loved Paul for his ITV daytime show and his passion for animals. She said: “I said to her, ‘it's mad, I always remember his show.’”
She added: “I used to always come home from school and watch it with my mum. I loved that he had such a big love for animals. I've bought his dog food for my dogs.”
Olivia was delighted Sharon was able to see another reminder of the love for Paul and his amazing life. She said: “It must be lovely for her to realise how loved her dad was. Everyone around here remembers him. With Pride coming up, it's a big thing.”
She added: “It was lovely that she was happy to see it. It must be heart-breaking for her. She was happy for us to get a picture of her with it outside when we asked.”
Lucy In The Sky posted the picture of Sharon on its Instagram with the caption: “We had the honour of having Paul’s daughter visit. She was very emotional when she saw our tribute. She loved it.”
The drawing, completed last month, is the work of artist Lewis McVey. Lewis is the nephew of the cafe’s owner Lucy Jeffers and is the brains behind its artwork.
Olivia said: “He is extremely talented. I would expect anything less from him.”
Lucy In The Sky is popular with locals, tourists and celebrities alike. It was named in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice awards last year, and has earned a five star review from the ECHO.
