Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy are into the men's lightweight double sculls semi-finals at the World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.
The Irish pair comfortably advanced to the semi-final stage after coming first in their quarter-final in a time 6:21.05.
They finished ahead of France, who were first out of the blocks and led at the 500m stage.
But O'Donovan and McCarthy edged ahead by half a second at the halfway stage and the French couldn't reclaim the lead, finishing second in the end, with Spain back in third.
The Skibbereen duo's semi-final takes place on Thursday morning.
