Paul Mescal proved he is one of the Normal People in life as he feasted on some McDonald’s fast food on Sunday night after scooping an Olivier award.
Paul’s sister Nell Mescal, shared photos on Instagram of her brother, dressed in Gucci and Christian Louboutin, posing beside a Happy Meal machine at a London McDonald’s after scooping his award for his role in the play, A Streetcar named Desire.
Proud Nell wrote that she was “crying big tears” after her brother’s prestigious win.

One of the amusing snaps included Paul’s trophy bowing to a large Sprite.
The BAFTA winner has become a fashion icon on the red carpet combining high-end labels with a down-to-earth mullet.
The Maynooth actor, who was nominated for a best actor Academy award last month for his role in Aftersun, dedicated his Olivier win to his mother Dearbhla who is undergoing cancer treatment
“I hope you get better,” he said.
Mescal isn’t the first Irish star to admit enjoying tucking into fast food. Fellow Oscar nominee Colin Farrell has told how he will enjoy free kebabs for the rest of his life now that he holds a special gold card from the Irish fast food chain, Abrekebabra.
During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel’s US chat show, Colin was once asked about his favourite thing to do when he gets home to Ireland.
The Malahide born actor said: “I have a kebab shop that I go to. A place called Abrakebabra that’s getting great press.”
Kimmel thought Colin was joking at first. “Oh, come on, that’s really a name?”
Colin replied: “What the f***? It’s a cultural flagship in my country man, it’s a huge franchise.”
The actor continued: “I have a gold card, you get free kebabs for life. I was the first to get a gold card, they did it for me.”
Conor McGregor is another Irish star who has fun with fast food. He taunted his rivals in a hilarious Burger King advertisement back in 2018. The ‘Notorious' tucked into a spicy chicken sandwich in the ad, after saying that all the 'chicken' and 'king' talk had got him fired up.
Meanwhile, singer Niall Horan is a fan of chicken chain Nando's. The self-declared food lover once said his perfect meal would be "a Peri-Peri chicken wrap from Nando's."
During a One Direction concert, he once said: “I like a chicken wrap, a double portion of curly chips, five hot chicken wings, corn on the cob, and a drink.”
