Paul Merson believes Arsenal will be crowned Premier League champions on one key condition after watching their heroic comeback over Bournemouth on Saturday. Merson was the chosen Sky Sports pundit to cast an eye over the clash at Emirates Stadium and was sent into raptures when Reiss Nelson snatched the three points for the Gunners right at the death.
When Bournemouth went two goals in front, the gap between Arsenal and City looked set to remain at two points after City beat Newcastle earlier in the day. But, goals from Thomas Partey, Ben White and Nelson sealed an unbelievable comeback win for Mikel Arteta's men.
Just a few weeks ago, Arsenal beat Aston Villa with seconds to play on the same weekend Nottingham Forest prevented City from taking all three points from the City Ground with their first shot on target. As evidenced, the title race has taken multiple twists and turns throughout the season and many more will undoubtedly occur, with both Arsenal and City having 12 games left to play.

Speaking after the late victory, Arteta praised his players for their character. "Winning four games in the Premier League is very difficult and we have done three in a week, which is even harder. We have done it in various ways and that should generate more belief," he said.
"Today a lot of things went against the team. Our fault in the first one, then the fact we weren’t scoring, the situation with Leo, the first set play they had, they scored. The team still found a way to win the game and that is really positive."
Following the victory, Merson was very decisive when discussing who he now thinks will win the title. "I think they [Arsenal] win the league. They just keep on going and don't know when they're beaten. It's four [Premier League wins] on the trot and you've got to remember the roll they were on before they started winning those games.
"They went 1-0 down at Villa after 10 minutes when they hadn't won for three games, had just been well beaten by Man City and they bounced back. They've been brilliant and the next three games will be defining for me. If they win them, I don't see how they don't win it."
