Paul Merson has called for Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo to be dropped for Manchester United's clash with Manchester City.
Both Maguire and Ronaldo have been under the microscope this season. The Reds captain has struggled all season with form whilst the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has taken flak for his displays, despite scoring 15 goals in all competitions this season.
The Reds will be looking to not only dent their fierce rival's title charge on Sunday but they will be hoping to strengthen their hold in the top four. Their lead currently stands at two points with West Ham, Arsenal and Tottenham all lurking.

Merson told Soccer Saturday: "For me, I don’t think he [Maguire] plays in this game. I would play [Marcus] Rashford and [Anthony] Elanga in this game in my opinion.
"If they’ve got any chance of winning Man United they have to play on the counter-attack with plenty of pace, skill and energy. I would leave Ronaldo out of this game."
In the reverse fixture, United's tepid display played into the hands of Pep Guardiola's side as they barely broke a sweat during their 2-0 win at Old Trafford. Ralf Rangnick was dealt a boost this week as Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay returned to first-team training offer options in midfield and attack.
