Paul Merson and Chris Sutton have both agreed Liverpool will make it four Premier League wins on the bounce when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.
Liverpool welcome Spurs to Anfield as they both battle it out - in all likelihood - for fifth spot in the Premier League and a place in the Europa League for next season.
The Reds have turned their form around in recent weeks after beating Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United. Tottenham are struggling, in contrast, although they did come from behind to draw 2-2 at home on Thursday to Manchester United, who along with Newcastle United, look likely to secure the final two Champions League spots behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

Sutton, a Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers, told BBC Sport that Liverpool would win 3-1. He said: "In some ways, Liverpool's approach will suit Tottenham because Jurgen Klopp's side will dominate the ball and Trent Alexander-Arnold will leave gaps behind him when he goes into the centre of midfield, as he does in his new inverted role.
"Spurs showed a bit of character to fight back for a draw against Manchester United but I really can't back them to get anything here because they have been so disappointing all season. Liverpool are on a roll with three successive wins and they still want a top-four spot.
"To have any chance of that, the Reds need to win every game they have left - and even that probably won't be enough."
Arsenal legend Merson agreed with score Sutton predicted as he told Sportskeeda: "I've got to go with Liverpool here. They've won their last three matches on the trot. They could win all their games from here on in but even then, it's unlikely to be enough to get them a place in the Champions League.
"Spurs got booed off in the first half of the game against Manchester United. The substitutions Erik ten Hag made absolutely impeded United's momentum on Thursday night. The personnel changes brought Spurs back into the game. Otherwise, Tottenham could have really suffered.
"Liverpool seem to have worked out a formula of late. Trent has done an excellent job of late for Jurgen Klopp's side. They look hungry up front and they are playing with a lot of confidence now. If Villa beat Man United, then Liverpool have a half-chance of making it to the Champions League."
