Paul McCartney seen at daughter Stella's fashion show as pal Ringo cancels gig over illness

Sir Paul McCartney and his wife Nancy Shevell ensured all eyes were on them as they attended Paris Fashion Week for Stella McCartney's Spring/Sumer 2023 show.

The Beatles musician, 80, and his wife, 62, stepped out at the lavish event held at Centre Pompidou in the French capital alongside a string of famous pals.

Paul's outing came hours after his former bandmate Ringo Starr, 82, was forced to cancel a string of gigs after suffering from a mystery illness.

However, the FourFiveSeconds hitmaker appeared to put on a brave face following his pal's announcement which sparked concern amongst fans.

Meanwhile, Nancy looked sensational in a nude figure-hugging dress with a cardigan to keep her warm in the Parisian autumnal weather.

Stella, 51, debuted her new Womenswear Spring/Summer 2023 collection at Paris Fashion Week but also allowed fans to tune in to a live stream across her social media handles.

Despite Paul's trip to Paris, Ringo Starr and his band All-Starr announced they were cancelling shows after the drummer became ill.

They had been scheduled to perform in New Buffalo, Michigan, US, just hours before the news was announced to fans.

However, a spokesperson for Ringo confirmed that his illness was not related to coronavirus but did not disclose his recent diagnosis.

They did, however, state that the mystery illness had affected Ringo's voice.

A spokesperson said: "Ringo is sick and was hoping to be able to perform, hence the late notice, but it has affected his voice. Ringo does not have COVID-19.

"He and the band send peace and love to all the fans who were planning to come out and see the show.

"A rescheduled date will be announced in the future. All original tickets will be honoured for the new date," meaning fans of the icon won't miss out altogether."
