Paul McCartney shares message to Sefton Park on 150th birthday with unearthed picture
Paul McCartney has sent a message to Sefton Park which celebrates its 150th birthday.
The former Beatles member took to Twitter to share a special birthday message to the South Liverpool park. He also shared his own memories there with George Harrison and John Lennon.
Paul said on Twitter: "Happy birthday Sefton Park. I often used to go there with various mates like John, George and other friends from school. We always had a great time rowing on the lake, even though we sometimes couldn't hear the man calling us in when our time was up.

"Come in #9...", "What’s he saying?" so we would grab a couple of extra minutes in the rowing boat. I have many happy memories of the place, congratulations Sevvie Park! - Paul."
The Beatles star shared never seen before picture of himself in the boat taken by Paul's brother Mike McCartney in 1961. Sefton Park was opened by Prince Arthur 150 years ago on May 20 for the people of Liverpool "to enjoy."

Emergency services rush to crash after car flips on side
A car flipped on its side after a crash.
Emergency services attended the incident on Mathers Avenue at around 9.35am on Froday, May 20. Police closed the road, near Storrsdale Road to Rose Lane, to assist the Ford KA and Ford Fiesta involved.
Although both vehicles needed to be recovered, Merseyside Police confirmed there were no reports of injuries. The road has since reopened.

Police searching for man after woman attacked on train
A woman was attacked by a man while on a train.
The incident took place on a train at Runcorn station at 9.25pm on March 4. The woman was speaking on the phone while sitting on the train.
The man began to shout at her in an aggressive manner and hit her around the head, when she challenged him. Officers from British Transport Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident
