Paul Ince says Michael Beale has walked into a pressure-cooker enviroment at Rangers given the form Celtic have displayed.
The former Manchester United man is now boss at English Championship club Reading - with Light Blues favourite Alex Rae as his assistant - and suffered a 2-1 loss against the new Ibrox manager's QPR side in October. He is shocked to see his former foe head back to Glasgow just over a year after his exit as Steven Gerrard's assistant, given he turned down the Wolves job recently.
That said, Ince can understand why Beale may have took the job but warns difficult tests lie in wait as Rangers begin their quest to claw back a nine-point gap Celtic have built with a Premiership clash against Hibs on December 15th. The Royals gaffer told Lord Ping : " Michael Beale is a lovely fella and a very good young coach. I understand why QPR fans feel disrespected but maybe it was a job that can't turn down. There's going to be a lot of pressure for Michael because they're competing with a very good Celtic team at the moment.
"He'll know what will happen if he doesn't hit the ground running. Michael has a very tough job ahead of him so I hope he gets time and money to spend to show what he can do.
"I can't believe Michael turned down a Premier League job, I would never do that but I'm sure he's capable of being successful at Rangers and I wish him all the luck in the world."
