The New England Patriots finally gave fans a reason to be hopeful with their shocking 29-25 victory over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.
It wasn’t just the win in itself that faded out the previous three weeks of bad football in the eye’s of Patriots fans. This was a Mac Jones game. The third-year quarterback went toe-to-toe with Bills quarterback Josh Allen and outplayed him on the field by leading the Patriots on a game-winning fourth-quarter drive.
It was a much-needed win for coach Bill Belichick, who has been the subject of hot seat talk for the last few weeks. But to be fair, no one knows his status considering he reportedly signed a new deal with the Patriots in the offseason. Is Belichick the long-term answer for the potential rebuild in New England or not?
Ryan O’Leary and I discuss the news in this week’s episode of the Patriots Wire Podcast. We also delve into the Malik Cunningham roster situation, Jones’ redemption game and trade deadline plans.
