The New England Patriots will be missing a key defensive piece in Sunday’s road clash with the San Francisco 49ers.
Linebacker Anfernee Jennings, who was questionable with a shoulder injury, has been officially ruled out for the Week 4 game. It’s a significant loss along the defensive front for a Patriots team that’s already missing Christian Barmore and Ja’Whaun Bentley.
Along with Jennings, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe and guard Michael Jordan have both been ruled out as well.
However, it isn’t all bad news for the Patriots. Starting guard Sidy Sow is set to make his first start of the season after going down in the preseason with an ankle injury.

On the San Francisco side of things, star wideout Deebo Samuel and tight end George Kittle have both been cleared to play on Sunday.
The Patriots will have their hands full against a 49ers offense at near full strength.
