The injury-plagued New England Patriots got some good news ahead of Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Safety Jabrill Peppers, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe and running back Antonio Gibson are all active and available to play in the Week 1 opener.
Peppers was a late addition to the injury report on Saturday with a hip issue. He was seen warming up on the field and flashing a thumbs up, signaling he was good to go for the game.
Lowe’s availability is a positive sign for the struggling offensive line. He has been slotted in as the starting left tackle, while Gibson is expected to serve as the No. 2 option at running back behind Rhamondre Stevenson.

The most noticeable inactive player for the Patriots is rookie fourth-round draft pick Javon Baker, who was recently punished for an angry video he posted on social media after receiving a ticket for a traffic violation.
Meanwhile, the Bengals will be missing standout wide receiver Tee Higgins. Ja’Marr Chase is active for the game, but he mentioned to the media that he would likely be limited even if he does see action.
