It isn’t often that the New England Patriots win with their offense, but that was the case in Sunday’s road upset victory over the Denver Broncos.
After blowing a 16-point lead, the Patriots responded with a game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter that was capped off by a 56-yard field goal kick by Chad Ryland.
It was an impressive showing of resilience from a unit that has struggled all season. One big reason for the improvement has obviously been the change from Mac Jones to Bailey Zappe at quarterback.
Since Zappe has taken over, the offense has moved with more confidence and efficiency, which has ultimately made the entire team better. There’s a reason why the Patriots are 2-2 and coming off back-to-back road wins with Zappe as the starter.
