The New England Patriots worked out running back Darrell Henderson on Wednesday, in addition to hosting Leonard Fournette.
Henderson was drafted in the third round in 2019. He played for the Rams from 2019-2022 and was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars after he was waived by Los Angeles last November.
Henderson has had a productive career to this point, recording 1,742 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns in four seasons. New England needs running back depth, and he could benefit from a change of scenery with the Patriots. He has still yet to enter his prime at 25 years old, and it could be a low-risk, high-reward signing.
In addition to Leonard Fournette, the Patriots also had RB Darrell Henderson in for a workout.

New England could have the opportunity to make a move relatively soon at the running back position. Depth could be important, especially after Rhamondre Stevenson’s heavy workload last year.
