The New England Patriots are reportedly expected to sign 11-year veteran offensive tackle Riley Reiff to a deal, according to ESPN’s Dianna Russini.
It’s one of two outside signings in free agency so far for the Patriots, who also signed offensive tackle Calvin Anderson to a deal on Tuesday. The team is obviously looking to beef up their offensive line depth, and adding a veteran player like Reiff with starting experience is exactly the sort of move to help them do it.
Reiff, a former Chicago Bear, was selected in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft by the Detroit Lions. He has appeared in 163 games with 149 total starts over the course of his pro football career.
The Patriots are expected to sign OT Riley Reiff, per sources.

The injury bug hit the Patriots hard on the offensive line in the 2022 season, and it would appear as if they’re taking measures to ensure that depth isn’t compromised heading into 2023.
