The New England Patriots made a couple of roster moves on Friday with two undrafted rookies.
According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the team has reportedly placed running back Terrell Jennings on the active/physically unable to perform list and linebacker Jontrey Hunter on the active/non-football injury list ahead of training camp.
Both of these designations mean the two players are currently unavailable for practice.
It isn’t exactly the way either one of them hoped to start their preseason work, particularly with both considered long-shots to make the roster. Both players can begin practicing at any time when they’re cleared to play.
Undrafted rookie RB Terrell Jennings (Florida A&M) was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list, while undrafted rookie LB Jontrey Hunter (Georgia State) was placed on the active/non-football injury list.
This means they are not yet cleared to practice.

The Patriots’ rookies reported for training camp on Friday.
Veterans are scheduled to report next Tuesday with camp officially beginning on Wednesday. Hunter and Jennings will have their work cut out for them to make the roster, or at the very least, leave a good enough impression to be signed back to the practice squad.
