Having Brissett as a captain will be important, as the Patriots look to enter a rebuilding phase.
He serves an important role as the bridge veteran starter while the team continues to work behind the scenes developing Maye. From being drafted by the Patriots in 2016 to serving as team captain eight years later, it truly has been quite the ride for Brissett.
