Cole Strange is quickly feeling at home with the New England Patriots.
The No. 29 pick didn’t receive the warmest welcome from Patriots fans, but Mac Jones appeared ecstatic with his new interior lineman. The Patriots lost Shaq Mason and Ted Karras over the offseason and Strange is an aggressive player that can make an immediate impact in multiple positions across the offensive line.
Jones doesn’t have a ton of continuity heading into Year 2 after losing key offensive coaches and linemen, so any help in the trenches will be a major bonus for his growth. Jones is so ready for the addition of Strange that he arranged a dinner on Friday night — one day after he was drafted.
On getting a text from Jones after being drafted: “It felt like home, honestly. … He was like, ‘We’re getting dinner tonight.’ And I was like, ‘Yes we are, Mac.’ “ https://t.co/ZpkFnYXU8a

Jones has already spent quality time with his skill players over the offseason and he continues to prove why he’s the leader the Patriots need.
