Matthew Judon’s season might not be over after all.
The New England Patriots’ star linebacker underwent surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon, and per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, there’s a “good chance” he’ll return before the end of the season.
Buy Patriots TicketsDecember seems to be the targeted timetable, according to Rapoport.
Judon potentially returning is a best case scenario for the Patriots, but they’ve got some work to do to still be in the playoff hunt that late in the season. They’re currently sitting at 1-3 with the hardest schedule in the NFL.
So the team will have to depend on other pass-rushers, such as rookie Keion White and standout linebacker Josh Uche to help fill the void left by Judon.
Matt Judon, who underwent surgery to repair a torn biceps tendon, has not yet been placed on IR. Regardless, based on how the surgery went, there is a good chance he's back before the end of the year. December appears to be a realistic goal. https://t.co/Y95UfIr9jJ

Keep in mind, this is a Patriots defense that’s also missing NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month Christian Gonzalez on the backend.
It’s going to be an uphill climb for the injury-ridden Patriots, but if they can hold things down until Judon returns, things could get interesting in December.
