The clash in Frankfurt between the New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts will kick-start Sunday’s slate of NFL games.
New England has shockingly turned into the doormat team of the AFC. They’re currently sitting at 2-7 on the season with the worst record in the entire conference. Everything hit rock bottom last week with the team falling at home to the Washington Commanders.
Things have been slightly better for the Colts, who are still in the thick of things in the AFC South division. Even without their starting quarterback, Anthony Richardson, the Colts have somehow stayed afloat and given themselves a fighting chance.
We’ll see if they can hold it together on their longest road trip of the season against a Patriots team with legitimate upset potential. Before losing to the Commanders and Miami Dolphins, the Patriots knocked off the Buffalo Bills in a surprising win at Gillette Stadium.
So it wouldn’t be wise to count them out in a matchup that seems meaningless to them on paper. Bill Belichick won’t stop coaching, and the Patriots won’t stop fighting no matter what their record is in the standings.
