Patriots’ 2024 Super Bowl odds shouldn’t surprise anyone

The Carolina Panthers are the only NFL team with worse Super Bowl odds than the New England Patriots in 2024.

It shouldn’t come as any surprise for a Patriots team that finished last season with a 4-13 record and missed the playoffs for the second straight year. It’s also a Patriots team undergoing a rebuild after parting ways with legendary coach Bill Belichick.

They have plenty of money to spend in free agency, and they’ll have the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. But it will also be a team led by a first-time head coach in Jerod Mayo with a roster that has more holes than Camp Green Lake.

Per BetMGM, the Patriots are currently listed at +20000 odds of winning the Super Bowl next season.

The bigger concern is how the Patriots are going to compete in their own division to even make the playoffs, much less win a Super Bowl. There are more questions than answers at the quarterback position, along with a lack of offensive playmakers and pass-protectors.

The problems in New England can’t be fixed overnight. It could take years to get back on track.
