Patrick Vieira has admitted he is concerned with Crystal Palace's Premier League position ahead of the fixture against Manchester City.
The Eagles are winless in 2023, not picking up three points since the final game in 2022 when they beat Bournemouth. Four draws and three defeats have meant that Vieira's side are only five points above the relegation zone despite being in 12th position in the table.
Next up for Palace is City, who visit Selhurst Park on Saturday evening, and speaking ahead of the tie, Vieira has said he would be lying if said he wasn't worried about the team's position in the table.

"If I sit in front of you and tell you that I'm not concerned it would be a lie," said Vieira. "Of course we are concerned and of course we are aware of our position in the table. It's important for us to remain calm and keep working and keep improving.
"We have a tough week ahead of us. It will be important to do our best and to try to get points. If we want points we have to play well. We have to keep doing the right things, but at the same time it's important for us to understand what part of the game we need to improve to allow ourselves to win those games."
Speculation on Friday morning claimed Vieira is under pressure if results do not improve and that he could be out of a job if there's no improvement by the time they face Arsenal, with a match against Brighton & Hove Albion in between.
But the former Nice manager has highlighted that he's been under pressure since he first joined in 2021 and that they are still five points away from the relegation zone.
“You know, the table is what it is. We are still five points clear, but anything can happen. We have to know that we are part of the nine or ten teams that have to fight to stay in the Premier League, but we are in a better position than some of the other teams," he said.
“I have been under pressure since the first time I signed for this club. This is what the Premier League is about, every single manager has pressure to perform. I’m no different from any other manager.”
