Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has admitted that Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher is “disappointed” to be missing out on the clash with the Blues this weekend. It comes as the midfielder cannot face his parent club, similar to how he has missed out against them in the Premier League this season.
The 22-year-old has had four different loan spells since coming through the Cobham academy, though his latest run with Palace has impressed many. His eight goals and three assists only show a fraction of what he can do, often leading the press with his frantic running.
It has led to Gallagher’s eventual England senior national team call-up and talks over his potential future at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel claimed in February that he doesn’t know what the future holds for the midfielder at the club.
