In a recent incident, former MLB pitcher Patrick Mahomes Sr., who is the father of three-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes, was pulled over by police in Tyler, Texas. The incident occurred on June 29, where Mahomes was cited for disregarding traffic signs and driving with an invalid license.
It has been reported that Mahomes is scheduled to appear in court at the end of July to address the situation. The specifics regarding whether his license had been suspended or revoked due to a previous DWI charge remain unclear. This incident marks the sixth DWI offense for Mahomes, with the most recent one occurring just a week before the 2024 Super Bowl.
In a previous legal case in 2018, Mahomes pleaded guilty and was sentenced to spend 40 days in jail. Throughout his career, Mahomes played for several MLB teams including the Twins, Mets, Red Sox, Pirates, Rangers, and Cubs.
Meanwhile, his son Patrick Mahomes has been making headlines for his success in the NFL, recently winning his third Super Bowl. This victory marked a significant achievement as it was the first time a team had gone back-to-back since the New England Patriots accomplished the feat in 2003 and 2004.
Additionally, Mahomes Sr.'s other son, Jackson, faced legal issues in late 2023 after allegedly being involved in an altercation at a restaurant in Overland Park. The restaurant owner, Aspen Vaughn, reported that Jackson had grabbed her by the throat and forcibly kissed her multiple times.
