Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is patting himself on the back for helping play a role in bringing Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and musician Taylor Swift together.
While appearing on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, Mahomes detailed about how he deserves to “take some of the credit” for the couple because he invited Kelce to his first Swift concert.
“I feel like I was the matchmaker,” Mahomes quipped to McAfee about Kelce sitting in the quarterback’s suite for the Swift concert. He also said he encouraged Kelce to shoot his shot in asking Swift out on a date.
As McAfee argued, Mahomes might hold the dual title of best NFL player of all time and best matchmaker of all time for bringing Kelce and Swift together, at least in part.
