It mattered not as Mahomes hit Mecole Hardman for a 3-yard touchdown pass to give the Chiefs a 25-22 victory and their second straight Super Bowl.

The winning drive covered 75 yards over 13 plays and 7:19.
This was the third championship in five years and was won in riveting fashion.
The Chiefs tied the game with three seconds left in regulation on a field goal by Harrison Butker to force the extra session, which lasted 14:57.
The 49ers won the toss for overtime and received.
They devoured 7:38 while gaining 66 yards on 13 plays before Jake Moody came on to kick a 27-yard field goal.
