Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, revealed that she had to take the couple’s 8-month-old son, Bronze, to the emergency room on Thursday due to an allergic reaction.
Brittany, a co-owner of the NWSL’s Kansas City Current, wrote in her Instagram story that she made a “very scary and frantic trip to the ER” on Thursday after finding out her son was “highly highly allergic to peanuts.”
“The scariest 30 min of my life,” Brittany wrote, according to The Kansas City Star.
Although the Mahomeses were unaware that their son had peanut allergies, the Chiefs quarterback has previously gone on the record to state that he, too, has allergies to peanuts. In 2021, Mahomes told Men’s Health that he was allergic to most nuts as well as grass.
Brittany has not provided any additional information on the situation since taking Bronze to the emergency room. However, she did post a picture of Bronze with his eyes shut and his finger in his mouth later on Thursday night, saying “another tooth coming in so he needed some extra snuggles tonight.”
On Friday, Brittany shared a video of Bronze, who was born last November, in a swing along with the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Sterling.
