PATNA: If everything goes according to plan, liver transplant will soon be started at Jaiprabha Medanta Superspecialty Hospital in the city. Noted cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Naresh Trehan, who is also the chairman and managing director of Medanta, made this announcement here. He said the 300-bed hospital would soon be upgraded into a 700-bed facility.
Dr Trehan said along with heart surgeries, kidney transplant and diabetes treatment, the hospital would also start liver transplant soon. “People of the state as well as adjoining Nepal can get the best treatment at the hospital,” he said, adding the focus behind the establishment of the hospital here was to provide high-end health facilities to all.
