Patna high court : Fix time line to establish tribal research institute

PATNA: Expressing concern over the absence of any tribal research institute (TRI) and the plight of tribal population, the division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice S Kumar of the Patna high court on Monday orally directed the state government to furnish timeline by July 16 for establishment of TRI in Bihar.

The division bench was hearing a PIL filed by Bihar Adiwasi Adhikar Forum, seeking establishment of a state level TRI for preserving and protecting the distinctiveness of tribal culture, habits and language of aboriginal tribes.
