Police are investigating after a man was left injured in a 'disturbance' on an estate in Middleton.
Officers were called to the Alkrington estate at around 5.25pm on Wednesday (May 3). The incident was believed to have happened near The Moss.
One man was taken to hospital from the scene with injuries to his arms, legs and back, police said. A man was arrested on suspicion of assault.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said yesterday (May 4) he remained in custody to be quizzed by detectives. The Manchester Evening News understands the incident is not being investigated as a stabbing at this stage.
Pictures sent to the M.E.N showed blood spatters on a pathway on the estate. Photos also showed police officers on the scene on Wednesday evening, with a cordon in place near a grassed area.
In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 5.25pm yesterday (Wednesday 3 May 2023) Greater Manchester Police were called to a report of a disturbance at the Moss, Middleton. One man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his arms, legs and back.
"One man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody for questioning. Enquiries are still ongoing at this stage."
