The 49ers are expected to begin cutting their 90-man roster down to 53 players ahead of Tuesday’s 1:00pm Pacific Time deadline.
Some cuts will trickle out over Sunday and Monday, and then Tuesday the team will release its initial 53-man roster.
We’ll be tracking any early cuts here with a note on what it means for the roster. This list will get updated as news is reported:
CB Nate Brooks

The 49ers’ CB room was too crowded for a late arrival like Brooks to make his mark. He had a nice open field tackle vs. the Chargers late in the preseason finale. If the coaching staff liked him enough he could be a practice squad candidate.
DL La'Darius Hamilton

Hamilton might’ve had a shot to make the roster had he been with the team all of training camp. He’s a practice squad candidate depending on how they feel about other DEs on the roster.
DL Breeland Speaks

Speaks joined the 49ers midway through training camp. He flashed a couple times in the preseason finale, but his chances to make the team were slim.
DL Spencer Waege

Waege is an undrafted rookie from North Dakota State. He could be brought back to the practice squad.
LB Kyahva Tezino

Tezino had a tough climb for a roster spot in a crowded LB room.
