There are few home decor features that are as evocative as patchwork quilts and pillows. With every geometrically stitched patch and nested seam, these soft decor details infuse interiors with a sense of nostalgia, making the rooms in which they exist feel layered and lived-in.
Lately, there's been a renewed appreciation for patchwork details in interiors, with many designers embracing the motif in new projects. Our recent tour of Studio Dorion's Connecticut cottage remodel, for instance, embraces the patchwork motif throughout the whole home – from a vibrant red and white quilt for the guest room to throw pillows in the living room. Mixed amongst other prints, patterns, and characterful motifs, the patchwork details in this cottage add charm, character and color.
