A sophisticated cannabis farm was found this afternoon.
The operation, found spanning two floors at a property on Hornby Road in Bootle, was picked up as a local PCSO noticed a strong smell of cannabis in the area. A short time later Operation Pelican officers arrived at the address where they found the farm.
All plants found were in a "mature state and ready to be cropped", police said. A 32-year-old man from Bootle was found inside the property and is currently in police custody waiting to be questioned by officers.
